Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos

Robot vacuums and mop are becoming more capable. They pass our cleaning tests, and can handle different flooring. Look for models that allow you to select between several modes, utilize their charging docks to automatically empty and clean stairs.

Many of the best models work with smartphones. Find an app that allows you to save schedules, maps and choose cleaning modes.

1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro

Eufy's gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and creates maps of floors and rooms.

When I tested the S1, it was quick to map our downstairs, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen-diner and bathrooms, along with medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without hitting them, and even managed to cross raised room thresholds with no issue, though it occasionally had trouble navigating down stairs in a single step. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and raised itself when it reached carpets or rugs.

The docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and replenishes its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated waters prior to every mopping session. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank is able to hold up to 12 cleaning sessions, but it will differ dependent on how often you use the mop.

The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like all 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to wash the dirty water tank regularly to avoid it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors regularly to keep them from getting blocked by dust or dirt. Overall, the S1 is simple to maintain, particularly compared to other combinations that require more hands-on maintenance.

2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete

Ecovacs' all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is a powerful solution for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction power and comes with a variety of advanced features like voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and avoids obstacles. The mopping feature is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor as opposed to just dragging the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station as needed.

This robot cleaner has an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. It comes with a hand vacuum that recharges for those areas that the robot can't reach as well as two water tanks that are automatically empty and filled whenever required. It has a variety of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.

The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with a strong suction that effortlessly picks up most debris and even the smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation abilities are also pretty good, although it can get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries in the app). Mopping capabilities are quite good with a pair of spinning mops which lift and scrub the floor instead of drag the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with heated water, and dried in the base station whenever required. The mops can also be replenished at the top of the station when required.

3. Dreame X40 Ultra

Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop were released earlier in the year. But their latest flagship model has even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-free maintenance, making it a clear contender for our best mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush ensure that a thorough, customized clean is achieved.

The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, removing large and fine particles from both hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's most soiled areas efficiently, while keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush which automatically moves out to reach hard-to-reach areas, and mop pads that run along baseboards.

Its navigation is smart it can navigate through small spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can move from one area to another without reversing direction, which is a handy feature for larger homes with many rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than some competitors, however, and tends to leave a large distance around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.

The app features a simple and intuitive interface that will be easy for both novice and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, adjust mopping and suction power settings and view 3D and 2D maps, and more. You can control it through the app, Alexa or Google Assistant. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get live video surveillance. You'll require a reliable Wi-Fi connection to operate it via the app and external controls.

4. Roomba Q5 pro

A robot vacuum can do a fantastic job of removing debris and dirt however, it's not able to reach every last particle of dust. It is important to clean often, at least once a week. This is particularly important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums as well as mop, is designed to do just that. The Q5 is still one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've ever seen at this price, even though it's not equipped to clean your floors. It also comes with a smart app that lets you set the type of floor and schedule cleanings, as well as an automatic vacuum and mop water tank refill and wash system for hands-free operation.

The Q5 was one of the few robots we tested did not show problems with high-pile carpets and rugs. However, it could not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. K10 Plus is one of the quietest robot vacuums we have tested. It also has a unique method to map your home. This will allow it to enter places that other vacuums are unable to reach. It also collects more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't have to empty it as often. It also has washable filters, which reduces the cost. The robot can recognize carpets and increase suction when needed. You can also mark off areas you want the robot to avoid using the app.
