The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping robots and vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to cross mopping off the to-do list. Some have great navigation and obstacles avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free cleaning.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you need to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other options, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't make the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well however, this is something you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home and also detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This ensures an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. They also have a flexible side brush that can extend to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup.

imageApp-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it should make, which will affect how quickly the device can traverse your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and rug.

This device has a fairly expensive price tag, but it is packed with a wide array of innovative features. However, it's important to note that it incurs periodic expenses in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide array of physical automation features. This includes the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home' button that will send it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically emptys the trash bin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants an organized home that doesn't require a lot of time on chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum cleaner vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot vacuum cleaners uk is divided into two modules that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes microfiber pads. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

Our test participants found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming and mopping. Its best robot vacuum that mops feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which can help to keep specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting hair from pets. It was able to capture a large amount of hair that shed by our cats and even was able to get into the nooks and crevices of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and even had some nice jingles that signalled when it was about to start or finishing its work.

The app was too basic and you had to change the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your house has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that is capable of vacuuming and mopping.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its huge dock that doubles as a charging base for the Best robot vacuum cleaner UK, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base has a few control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.image
