This is the model you need to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other options, making it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It packs a powerful 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes, if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single sweep. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up sand, dirt, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop rotates quickly and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is useful for getting into tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't make the same amount of noise while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only downside is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's easy to install and works well however, this is something you'll have to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile and ad-hoc cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This allows it to map out the home and also detect furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean intelligently and efficiently. This ensures an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. They can reach corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it has certain unique features that make it worth considering. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base has a few control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks, recall the robot or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than standard laser detection systems and is four times more accurate at recognizing objects.

This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it gets caught in a blockage, such as a power cable draped over a rug. It won't work until you manually untangle it. While this was rare however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't a big deal aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot, and a welcome view in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
